Dear all,
I just realized that my lawyer forgot to mention A# in my 485 application. I have an approved I140 and the approval notice does have A# mentioned on it.
Does any one in this forum know if I am in trouble? I have sent a copy of my I-140 approval notice in my application though.
Any thoughts/experience?

Our checks were cashed today (both for me and my husband). Our application (I 140/I485 conc.) was July 2nd @NSC received by R Williams. They were cashed in Texas. We did not even get the receipt notices yet. Thus, the wait sounds longer for us.

i remember seeing ur threads for r.mickels or williams...if u got ur receipts and are on the the next waiting level of FP notice - welcome....and it looks like its going to be a long one.

My friend's application got rejected for incorrect filling fee, how ever his attorney refiled the case, let's how long does it take to get the receipt ??any one got receipts after refiling ?

I am working for a company A with whome I have gone ahead and resigned with them i also filed my GC and 485 is still pending with them and also have EAD through them, recently i got offer from Company B which i accepted and they have gone ahead and filed my H1 Tranfer but recently i got one more offer from Company C which is much better.
What should be done in this scenario,should i again file for H1 Transfer through Company C or will it mess up my case even more
Join Company C since it is better offer. Look for your benefits..always.:)

Slightly sooner than expected but the H1B cap was reached today. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to reach the statutory cap for fiscal year (FY) 2011. USCIS is notifying the public that yesterday, Jan. 26, 2011, is the final receipt date for new H-1B specialty occupation petitions requesting an employment start date in FY2011.
The final receipt date is the date on which USCIS determines that it has received enough cap- subject petitions to reach the limit of 65,000. Properly filed cases will be considered received on the date that USCIS physically receives the petition; not the date that the petition was postmarked. USCIS will reject cap-subject petitions for new H-1B specialty occupation workers seeking an employment start date in FY2011 that arrive after Jan. 26, 2011.
USCIS will apply a computer-generated random selection process to all petitions that are subject to the cap and were received on Jan. 26, 2011. USCIS will use this process to select petitions needed to meet the cap. USCIS will reject all remaining cap-subject petitions not randomly selected and will return the accompanying fee.
On Dec. 22, 2010, USCIS had also received more than 20,000 H-1B petitions filed on behalf of persons exempt from the cap under the �advanced degree� exemption. USCIS will continue to accept and process petitions that are otherwise exempt from the cap.
Those who missed the filing this week, should get ready to file on April 1, 2011 for the FY 2012 term, we feel that visas will run out fast this coming April.

Hi,
My wife got her H1B in Oct 2008. But could not work until date.
We want to get her H1B transferred back to H4. There are NO pay stubs for her.
I am on H1B with job. And I have my pay stubs.
Will there be any problem in her H1B to H4 transfer without her pay stubs ?

Dont worry pokiri, just apply for trasnfer thru lawyer. My friend recently did it for his wife. She got H1 to H4 in 2 months without any RFEs. She did not work after she got her H1 in 2007 April and she don't have pay stubs.

Folks,
Forgive me if this sounds rudimentary. It's only recently that i've become aware of the nuances of the whole GC process along with the mind-boggling delays.
Here are my qstns:
Is it ok to have 2 concurrent LCs filed from different employers only one of whom i am employed with, (the idea is that the first one that get's approved will be used for the 140 and/or 485 and the other withdrawn)?
Does it constitute a conflict of interest?
Or is the conflict only in the I-485 stage?
Does it cause any complications with LC or I-140?
Have any of you had to do this?

EAD is for work.
AP is for travel. For enter into USA, only AP and passport is required.

My wife lost her EAD while traveling (in India) outside of this country, she has Advance Parole document with her.
Question is: Can she able to enter US without EAD?
My Wife status:
Current Status : AOS (H4 - expired) - Filed I-485

I am in a strange situation. I was on H1 and applied for H1 extension, I also applied for F1 and got approved for that. Once I received my F1 approval I told my employer to cancel the processing of H1.
Now my employer says that the H1 was approved. Now which status I am in is the main problem. Can I find out which status I am in by any means? what happens if my employer cancels the H1 will i be on F1 or is my F1 no more valid? please can someone help me as I need to take a decision immediately.

I am not an immigration expert, but don't you need to show spouse's valid H1 visa to get a H4 visa? ... Unless both spouses are applying for their respective visas at the same time.

If you can wait would be good. You won't believe my parents visa was rejected cause there was no visa stamp on my passport. So its all depend on visa officer how educated they are.

If you need any kind of corrections to your I-94, please visit your local CBP office. Website is www.cbp.gov. On this website search for Deferred Inspection locations and visit the nearest one.
CBP officer will give you new I-94 with the corrected name, I-94 validity date, DOB, class of admission etc...
