How many of those 245(i) cases from April 2001 might exist in the EB3-India bucket?
From what I read on some of these forums, there could be 8-10 million 245(i) cases in all, filed on or shortly after April 2001. Were these filed as EB cases???
IFF this is the case, then EB3-India will likely keep going back and forth between April 2001 and December 2001 for the next several years. Though it doesn't make any sense how EB3-China and EB3-Mexico made it to 2003.

Kaka you really have a win-win situation. If somehow something gets passed in lame duck then you will be happy with your GC. if nothing happens and priority dates don't move forward then you can always tell others " I told you it is scam and you did not believe it".

In EAD form, they are asking about previous EAD info..like which service center, what date, GRANTED or REJECTEd etc.. Now I had two EADs..one is OPT and other one I got last year. Do I have to write info for both one or just for last year?? In last year's form, I wrote info about my OPT. But what now?
According to my thinking:
I would type the information related to the COPY OF EAD that you are sending now.
OR
I would type the information related to the EAD which is of most use to you.
Also dont only listen to people on this forum.

I agree with Mihir. It is your life and you have to be always plan for the worst case scenarios, especially when we (legal immigrants) do not have any god father.
First and foremost, if you lose a job, it doesn't matter what your immigration status, life is going to become difficult for you and your dependents.
I lost my job in the 7th year of H1 but since I had well researched and planned for that scenerio before entering into the 7th year, I am still here in a new job with an anticipated 3 year extension from 2007-2010.
If a lobor from your previous job has been pending for more than 365 days, you are able to port the benefit of the 7+ year extensions to the new job. This will let you survive the 7th year job loss.

You may have trouble entering the country. There was an article on this very subject on murthy.com . You may search for the article with the key word.
From what I remember from that article, misdemeanors are not considered as inadmissibility, but the catch is, if the crime is a "felony" but ruled "misdemeanor" that could be treated as ground for inadmissibility. The shop lifting was given as an example of such case. I don't mean to scare you , but re-entry may not be your only issue, I think I485 approval may also be an issue.
I am sure I must have missed some thing in paraphrasing and recollecting the article, but you could search for the original article.

2. What are the possible chances that visa officer may not let me into the USA?
3. Do I need to carry any letters from my criminal attorney explaining the situation?
4. Any one in similar situation, please update me on this?
5. Please list of documents I need to carry during my travel

My lawyer advised against filing AC21 proactively. His opinion is that it may trigger a big RFE requiring financial details of the new employer. How true is this? I have a feeling my previous employer might withdraw my approved I-140 on the advice of their corporate lawyers (Fragomen, who I believe recommend I-140 withdrawal as past of their standard procedure when an employee leaves). I would like to preempt that and file AC21 documentation.

Such a move do not bring much complaints from anti-immi groups. But this move will reduce the noise from people who have not yet filed for 485s. May be after getting EAD all those people will invest more in America.
This is maximum bang for the immigration buck from the USCIS/DOS point of view.
Ron says it will be current for a "brief" period. (similar to july 2007 fiasco ?)
It will be a good opportunity for people waiting to file 485. For people already in the queue, it may not make that much difference.

One of my colleagues, got his GC last yr (EB2, PD 2006) in Aug. 2008 even though his receipt date (Aug. 2007 as per receipt by Texas center)
was not honored.

Not entirely true, I switched job a couple of months ago - filed for AC21. I got an acknowledgment from USCIS for the same - stating that it will be added to my file, to be reviewed when my application is processed.
Then you are a special case to USCIS. In my whole "GC career", you are the first case I am hearing about having AC21 related notification from USCIS.
Chandu's comments are entirely truthful and your case is the special one as USCIS really does not have any sysem to account or to notify related with AC21 usage.
