FP notice will come later.
If you send photos for EAD(paper filed I765) no need to have FP taken.
Only when you e-file I765, you will get a FP appointment.
BTW, what purpose do the fingerprints do on an EAD?

I think this rule would be pretty controversial with the diversity restrictions that US expects.
So, why there is country limit just on GC quota, if they want diversity it should be on H1/L1 visas as well...this is why we are seeing backlog of more then 5yrs in GC. It is not diversity they want it is called discrimination :eek:

Hi,
All my checks got cashed today (6 of them). My I140 is pending at TSC. I don't know where my applications went and what time and who signed for it. All i know is my attorney sent my applications to be delivered on July 2nd.

I applied my first H1B extension through my company in June 2008. On 11th Feb, I received REF. I am very much tense about it. Since I am out of project. I got cleared my I 140 with this company in July 2008.
I applied H1B transfer(Normal process) also in October 2008 to other company . This one is still pending.
I am very much tense about my status. Please suggest me what to do?
Is it better to answer to RFE for first company?
or
Can I do PP with second company? or else any better thing?

Is there a relation between immigration process (485) and IRS?
If a person owe money to IRS , does he/she have a problem with his/her immigration process? I'm not talking fraud ....! I'm talking owing taxes to IRS
The reason i'm asking is because some lawyer do ask for W2 forms, some do not. That means there is a relationship between immigration and IRS.I just have no idea how it works.

i have been hearing that my case has been with an officer since last month (yes i said last month .. july).
I have no idea :
who these officers are,
why they are sitting on a case for weeks together without doing anything,
whether they have the copy of the latest bulletin,
whether they are still employed by NSC,
whether they are still alive.
noooo idea..... whatsoever.
my file has been with officer since aug 1...no news ..and now the #'s are all gone....

It is not just 10 days but over 375 days (from July-19-2007 to July-28-2008)

1. At the time the second I-140 is applied or,
2. When one applies for the I-485.
So you should be fine going by #2. Not an attorney, just like you all - a GC aspirant commenting on his research.
My question is the same that you raised earlier - the Memo states that the PD has to be current when interfiling. But in the case of pd_recapturing, his PD is May 04 which is not current - EB2 for India is Apr 04 (my assumption being that pd_recapturing is from India.)
My case is exactly as pd_recapturing, waiting for the approval of my second I-140 to see if the date got ported or not (we had requested during filing of second I-140). After the approval, I was thinking of waiting for my PD to be current before filing.

USCIS Knows the numbers now or they would not predict April 2006 if they did not know. I believe that If you read the predictions of QSK then you will know exactly what might happen. It will go up to Sep 2006 and might stay there or move back to April.

May be they can accept I-485s for July to honor original July bulletin. They can do this without changing any law as they can say they are accepting as per DOS bulletin for ones who already filed or going to file as per original bulletin.

I am also in the same situation, My (including my wife) I-485 case was approved on 8/5, my wife received physical card 2 weeks after and I received a FP notice (Code 2) and i gave my biometrics on 9/29 and my I-485 status changed from Approved to Initial Review on the same day. Its scared me and i immediately called USCIS to know whats happenning and have created an SR...so far no response yet. I have my approval notice, as you suggested i will take an INFO pass and get it stamped on my passport.
Please update your case in this thread.

I must agree - both are important..it is just each one of us have different cases and circumstances
that It might be important for OP but you should considerate about others you should not say that every body elses problem is nothing in-front of OP's problem ."Injustice" word sound like that.

When NSC people were getting Receipt and TSC were waiting , no body said ."Injustice" word .
So when it is not affecting you it 's fair.....But somebody else gets that you cry foul play ....Be considerate about others
Personally I wish all (NSC ,TSC , Carlifornia , Vermont ) filers should get there receipt , EAD and AP as well as Final GC as soon as possible

I don't know if it is really easy to renew in US.Because i just filled the form with this link https://passport.gov.in/nri/OnlineRegistration.jsp?pocode=USAW and saved the application.I thought It'll save my details , but It looks like it sent the application to embassy.When I wanted to reprint the form it's asking the Web File No which I never received.May be I need to call them for this #.I tried to fill the form and save again.It's coming up with blank page without any Web File No.
When I called officer , he says server may be down try in the evening.Not sure if it works this time.
