does anybody know for a fact that sending flowers is legal? did any of you check with your lawyer?
We are not doing any crime here..we r just sending the flowers...and we are expressing our feelings...i think there is no offense in this.

My wife had to do her FP againg on Jan 26 2008 after our first FP in Spetember on the second FP notice request USCIS stated the reasond as FBI is unable to process the clearance check card so she had to take the FP againg..after that no updates and LUD's...dose this implies that my name check is cleared in first shot and my wife's not?
can any one had to redo the FP for same reason? please share.

Can we get support from lawmakers for this?. Once an applicant waits for a specific number of years (say 7 or 6 or 5) a visa should be recaptured and alloted to the applicant irrespective of the category. This will provide some solace to those waiting for long and give hope for everyone that their maximum wait times are known.

The immunization record is accepted (even if it is from India) if signed by a physician. Also, the place I have set up an appointment for is charging $170 for medical test/blood work, Tb-test (Mantoux), paperwork and X-ray if required. Immunizations will be extra (if required) but they said that is usually covered by the immigrant's health insurance policy (as preventive care). I am in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It doesnt affect me, but I'm willing to support any effort in this and I'm sure this is a very very genuine case and will get approval from any law maker who is supporting DREAM,
IV Core, we need your help in this. Can you please come up with an action plan. We are willing to fund the cause if you come up with how we go about this. We know its not just money thats needed but a campaign type effort and I'm sure all the parents and their kids will come out in support. Too bad that these kids have to now suffer..
Thank you very much for coming forward, there are thousands of young adults who would benefit from a concerted effort if this bill were to include them and get passed.

I just called USCIS to check on my case status, the Cust rep over there told me as below.
Details of my case-
My PD - July 2005
EB2
USCIS received my 485 appln on July-2-2007(according to fedex) according to USCIS myaccount portfolio they received it on Aug-10-2007.
She mentioned that my case was 41 days over due (that means my case should have been looked at 41 days prior to today, no clue why and she didnt know either) so she opened up a SR and said that an IO will look into it.
She didnt have info on whether my namecheck/background check was complete etc....
Lets see how things go

Good to know that NSC is going by RD and not ND. also suggests that they might be looking at the PD as well when determining the order in which applications are picked. I didnt see any 'legislative clauses' to guide the same - So it is more of 'practice' than law - So USCIS can change this (order of adjudication) at their discretion - so I think.

When i contacted USCIS Immigration Officer ( not the customer rep) they acknowledged delays and said it may go through middle of November unless we seek highlights from higher officials to print our cards at a different center or get an urgent fix we are going no where... Once I send this info to IV Core WINDOW IS CLOSED on this topic./..

We also need to think about the work culture, commute time to office etc. Slogging for 10 to 12 hours is a norm there in most of the companies. Don't even dream of working 8 to 5 there, else you are odd man out.

same here eb3napa, every time it goes to TSC, infact, for the time I am waiting now (look at my PD) TSC knows me as a regular customer (read it as bakra) for AP and EAD renewal every year for 3 people in the family. this time the freakin system sent our applications to NSC and i am worried now, since I have made my travel bookings for november. Can I go after 90 days and show them the air tickets to expedite or get another AP in the local service center?
It is taking a lot longer than the last couple of years. I filed mine end of June, normally TSC would have approved it by now. Unfortunately this time it was transferred to the evil NSC and I am still awaiting an approval.

You yourself had stated that you have second appointment after 30 days. How can this INS doctor certify an event that is going to take place in the future. He wants to complete the second one and give you the sealed cover. Fair and squre.
However, it beats me why you need two MMRs. Any person after 18 is given only one booster MMR, that also generally not recommended. They do antibody titre for MMR and give certification that vaccination is complete.
Do your DD.
Did anyone take thew MMR, tetanus from PCP and toolk the records for medical exam? I did that but the USCIS doctor wants to give me the 2'nd shot of MMR in less than a week. He says otherwise my vaccination is not complete. He doesn't care even if my PCP clear writes that I have one more appt. in a month for the second one. Did any of you guys face this? I think the doc. wants $$ from me. THanks for your comments.

Please review the response to RFE(if they let you to) before they send it out just so you can catch if there are things that don't seem right. But as I said before, if you can get Trustforte say that equality statement, you should be good. Don't loose sleep over it (I know it is easier said than done :) ).

There are some anti-immigrant forces on IV that want to discourage members by giving red dots and comments.
They want us to fight with each other and derail the effort. We should just ignore them and focus our efforts on the Rally.
I cannot believe some of the IV members, someone gave me a red with message,
"don't be sentimental, there are people from other contries on IV as well"
I didn't meant to discriminate people from other countries, I am proud to be Indian , nevertheless caring about red dots. My message was not to discriminate, but express myself, as majority of the backlog is from INDIA and China.

I got email reply from two different german embassies saing " No need of Transit visa if you have AP document ". I think we are over catious. This reminds me a joke
A person buys two tickets for himself for a bus ride. The curious bus conductor asks why he need two tickets for himself. He replies if I loose one ticket I can still have the second one. What if the second one is also lost. The clever passenger replies I have a Bus pass also for Bus travel.
I have seen in several forums dated way back from 2005 about the same question.
Even though AP is not in the list of valid documents listed in the Germany consulate web site, they never insisted to have transit visa.
I am printing out those emails and flying through Frankfurt. I am not applying transit visa

and sort their salaries, you will see programmer analysts and software engineers being paid 25000 anually, Yes they are in california and other costly cities.
There are many programmer/sw engg jobs well belo 45000 annually.
This is what drives NumbersUSA and Programmers Guild to cry out "H1B fraud" and "Cheap Labor Imported". And they have facts to support them. This issue is serious and increasing H1b numbers without Reforming H1b for fraud and cheap labor is indeed a disaster for not only american citizens, but also to future aspirants of GC and Citizenship. In fact we should support NumbersUSA and ProgrammersGuild if they are proposing this reform.

I edited my previous post since I had missed the gist of your question. But here is the additional information pasted again.
From the point of recruitment to application, it took about 3 months. I hope it is faster for you. Make sure you get all your previous jobs experience letters at the soonest. That's what took me a long time otherwise the time period from recruitment to application would have been 2 months i.e. approximately 8 weeks.
